Clinical Risk Forum: Consent Update - What are reasonable alternatives?
Join us on 17 October 2023 for our latest Clinical Risk Forum providing an update on Consent and the impact of the case of McCulloch v Forth Valley Health Board [2023].
David Myhill from Crown Office Chambers, who represented the successful Respondent in McCulloch, will join Charlotte Rathbone (Partner) and Lucy Erskine (Partner) from our specialist clinical claims team in Birmingham.
They will be looking at the impact of this Supreme Court decision on how the Court assesses the consenting process.
This will include consideration of:
- The scope of Montgomery consent prior to the Judgment in McCulloch.
- A first hand summary of the Judgment from David Myhill and
- The practical implications of the Judgment on consent going forward.
Register now to be part of an engaging and lively conversation with opportunity to put questions directly to the panel.
This webinar will be of interest to all those working in NHS practice including legal service managers, practice managers, clinicians, and complaint and risk managers. Please feel free to share the invite with clinicians who may wish to attend.
