Mediation – a clinicians guide

- Alan Jacobs - Full time Mediator with CEDR Chambers and a member of CEDR Training Faculty
The session will provide an introduction to mediation with practical guidance for clinicians looking at:
- What is mediation?
- Why mediate?
- What is the role of a mediator and how can they help facilitate resolution?
- Why it is important to have a clinical representative attend - the power of an apology and
- What to expect on the day and how to prepare for it.
This webinar will be of interest to medical professionals of all levels whether in NHS Trusts, primary, secondary, private or community healthcare. It will also be of interest to Directors, legal services and complaints managers as well as Governance and Risk teams dealing with claims.
Attendees will be treated to an engaging and lively discussion from our speakers and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
