Mock remedy hearing

Following the success of our Mock Employment Tribunal in January, Capsticks invites you to join our online Mock Remedy Hearing on Tuesday, 15 June 2021. This session will provide a real life guide for HR professionals and any other staff who may be involved in tribunal proceedings.

Chaired by Victoria Watson (Partner and Head of Employment), attendees will hear from Devereux Chambers Barristers, Samuel Nicholls and Hitesh Dhorajiwala who will be conducting the advocacy. The session will include the submissions regarding remedy and cross examination of the Claimant (played by Capsticks’ Senior Solicitor, Lee Carroll) and the decision of the judge will be delivered on the day.

There will be an opportunity to pose questions to the experts on how the decision was reached, their experience of remedy hearings and issues such as contributory fault, Polkey deductions and compensation in discrimination claims.

Prior to the event, registrants will receive materials as a reminder of the Mock Employment Tribunal, including a Q&A document dealing with the issues raised in the claim and a remedy hearing bundle.
