Some positive news for the sector, as NHBC as confirmed that there has been a significant increase in the number of new homes being registered - a total of more than 15,800 new homes in July 2018 alone.

The figures for July are particularly impressive, and numbers are up 11% across the whole quarter from May to July compared to last year.  But they do follow a disappointing first quarter, where weather conditions affected the number of new homes delivered.

The majority of UK regions have shown an increase, with the largest increases in London.

Evidence that the focus on delivering new homes is paying off?

New figures from NHBC have revealed that more than 15,800 new homes were registered to be built in the UK in July – a 35% increase on the same month last year.
