Amy is a partner at Capsticks. She has previously represented care home providers with regards to regulatory challenges from the Care Quality Commission, namely, preparing factual accuracy challenges, contesting notices of proposal to cancel the registration of service providers and responding to warning notices.
She has represented care home providers when they have been given IP status at Inquests following the death of residents.
Amy has experience in safeguarding and has previously prepared a wealth of safeguarding policies and advised on safeguarding concerns in respect of care homes, charities, schools and sport organisations.
Having been an advocate for many years, Amy also has experience in representing individuals and corporate clients across all types of regulatory, professional discipline and criminal proceedings.
Amy is a member of our Health Advisory and Inquest team. She provides advice and representation to NHS and private providers in all aspects of healthcare law.
She still represents clients at Inquests but she also represents clients in Court of Protection proceedings and advises clients in relation to the process of and disputes about Continuing Health Care funding.
Amy provides clients with advice and assistance with regards to information law, namely, confidentiality, information sharing and disclosure, subject access requests and Freedom of Information Act requests.
