Experience
Andrew is a Principal Associate in the Claims division in Leeds. Andrew qualified in 2013 in a boutique claimant clinical negligence practice in the North East. Having had previous experience as a paralegal in a national defendant insurer practice, Andrew moved back to defendant work when he joined DAC Beachcroft in Leeds in November 2015. Here he began to specialise in defending claims brought against NHS Trusts, on instruction from NHS Resolution, and also against GPs, on instruction from the MDU.
Expertise
Andrew specialises in defending a varied case load of clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, including litigated and pre-litigated high value and complex clinical negligence cases, including spinal, amputation, adult brain injury and birth injury cases. Andrew is an experienced litigator, with a keen eye for a defendable claim, with a number of trial successes for numerous NHS Trusts.
Andrew has carried out secondments to NHS Resolution, provided training both internally and externally on a variety of topics and lectures on the Capsticks Diploma.
