Experience
Ellie qualified as a Solicitor in March 2025. She works as an Associate in the Advisory and Inquest team at Capsticks. She completed her training contract with Capsticks, after previously working for two years as a paralegal in the Regulatory department.
Ellie deals with Court of Protection cases, inquests matters, mental health / mental capacity queries, and general healthcare advisory queries.
Expertise
Ellie’s work involves dealing with Court of Protection and Mental Capacity cases, including S21A and S15/16 best interest applications and COPDOL11 reviews. Ellie also has experience of assisting with and attending inquests and advising clients in relation to the Mental Capacity Act.
During her training contract, Ellie gained experience in clinical negligence claims and was involved in the management of these claims. Ellie also provided support to clinical professionals.
CSR activity
Ellie is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiative, and is the point of contact for the Leeds Junior Lawyer Division memberships.
