Experience

Ivy is an Associate within the Advisory team at Capsticks. She handles complex Court of Protection matters, Inquests and Family Court matters for our various NHS clients. She also has a growing practice providing ad hoc advice on various niche matters requiring extensive research for example advising on matters relating to Human tissue testing. Her work includes liaising with the client to secure relevant documents, obtaining and drafting witness statements, reviewing the documentation and information in order to prepare the case for a hearing and to provide tactical advice. Ivy excels at supporting witnesses during hearings and also works with clients following hearings to support them with any learning points identified.

Expertise

Ivy also has extensive experience undertaking investigations for the Health and Care Professions Council and Social Work England within the Regulatory division. This role included liaising with public bodies such as the police and DBS for information, instructing experts to conduct assessments of registrants, providing detailed legal advice to clients and preparing training materials regarding procedure and new legislation within the regulatory team.

Ivy also has experience within the corporate and commercial division including preparing legal documents such as stock transfer forms and board minutes and reviewing commercial contracts. 

Additionally, Ivy has external expertise in dealing with personal injury and medical cases. Including liaising with hospitals and medical practitioners to obtain relevant documentation, interviewing clients and instructing counsel.   

Before venturing into law, Ivy worked in the private investigation field.

CSR Activity

Ivy is a member of the CREATE and PRISM employee network groups and has assisted in organising various events including the Black History month events at Capsticks.
