Jeremy is a Partner and Barrister in the inquest, advisory and public law team and an experienced advocate. He represents and advises clients on complex investigations and inquest proceedings and provides legal advice on a range of healthcare related issues.
Jeremy has extensive expertise in healthcare regulation and professional discipline, having worked in this field for over a decade. Jeremy is an experienced trial advocate and has regularly appeared in the High Court, defending statutory appeals and making successful applications for the extension of interim orders.
Prior to joining Capsticks Jeremy worked as in-house counsel for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), presenting a broad spectrum of regulatory cases, including complex midwifery cases, fraud, sexual misconduct and abuse of vulnerable patients.
