Experience
Loren completed her training contract at Capsticks. Loren provides healthcare and social housing clients with tailored advice pre-claim and at all stages during the litigation process and has supported numerous healthcare and social housing clients both with settlement pre-claim and at each stage of the Employment Tribunal process.
Loren was involved with the recent matter of Knightley v Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust [2022] EAT 63.
Expertise
Loren has a strong record of successfully defending claims at Tribunal Employment Tribunal, from discrimination and whistleblowing claims to unfair dismissal claims. Loren conducts advocacy at Preliminary Hearings and also has experience of handling cases in both the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court. Loren regularly delivers training sessions for clients, and attends a secondment placement once a fortnight.
CSR activity
Loren is heavily involved with coordinating the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. She jointly runs the firm’s Gadget Workshop scheme at the Wimbledon Guild, which won the CSR/Diversity Initiative of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2019 and the Silver Volunteer Team Award at the Merton Partnership Volunteer Awards in 2018. Loren also regularly volunteers at the South West London Law Centre’s pro bono clinic, and coordinated a group of Capsticks volunteers to participate in MHS Homes Big Sleep Out in January 2020.
