Melanie joined Capsticks as a Solicitor in November 2020 having trained at a firm specialising in defending healthcare clients in a regulatory context. Before joining Capsticks, Melanie worked in-house for the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), conducting a broad range of Fitness to Practise (FTP) investigations, and has previous experience in clinical negligence.
Expertise
Melanie specialises in FtP work for our regulatory clients, including the NMC and GCC. Melanie has extensive experience in a full range of investigation work for these clients, including complex complaints involving all types of conduct and professional performance. Melanie is adept in gathering evidence, managing vulnerable witnesses and registrants in sensitive cases and preparing cases for substantive hearing.
