Experience
Phil is a Principal Associate in the Claims division in Leeds. Phil qualified as a Solicitor in 2014, having trained with a firm specialising in claimant clinical negligence and personal injury work.
In October 2015 Phil joined DAC Beachroft in Leeds, and has since exclusively specialised in defendant clinical negligence, defending NHS Trusts, GP Practices, individual clinicians and private providers in a wide variety of claims, on behalf of both NHS Resolution and the MDU.
Expertise
Phil’s work and expertise covers the full spectrum of clinical negligence claims. He has extensive experience of defending primary care providers, and with complex claims where consultations and treatment have been provided to a patient by various staff members at a GP practice.
Phil’s practice also encompasses dealing with claims involving injuries of the most serious nature, and medical issues of significant complexity, including birth injury claims, adult brain injury claims, and cases brought under the Fatal Accidents Act and Human Rights Act.
Phil’s experience has been supplemented by time spent on secondment to NHS Resolution, as well as delivering internal and external training sessions on a variety of topics.
