Capsticks has welcomed two new partners working in the healthcare sector this week:

• In the primary care team: Mark Jarvis, London, joining from Veale Wasbrough Vizards
• In the NHS employment law team: Kirsty MacDonald, Leeds, joining from Law by Design

Mark specialises in commercial contracts, business structures, new models of care, procurement and NHS regulation, having acted for acute healthcare providers, NHS commissioners, GPs and dentists throughout his career. A national expert in primary care contracting, commissioning and care integration, Mark has drafted model contracts, national enhanced service schemes and assisted GP organisations and dentists with their mergers, federations, acquisitions and incorporations.

Kirsty is an employment law expert, having represented NHS organisations for more than 15 years. Her experience spans discrimination, dismissals, grievances, policies, TUPE and complex re-organisations, as well as tribunals, injunctions and judicial reviews. Kirsty is particularly known for handling the employment of doctors and consultants on behalf of NHS trusts, including job planning and revalidation disputes and misconduct cases under the Maintaining High Professional Standards in the NHS (MHPS) framework.
