Capsticks has been appointed to YPO’s first ever legal services framework for all lots; covering commercial contracts, procurement, property, major projects, litigation, planning, local government law, public health, employment, training for members and much more. The appointment commenced on 8 October 2024 for four years.

YPO supplies products and services to a wide range of customers including local authorities, emergency services, public sector and other businesses such as charities, nurseries and care homes. It’s 100% publicly owned, by 13 local authorities, meaning all profits are returned to its public sector customers, delivering better value for money and helping the communities they support to thrive.

Amy Whitehead, Category Manager at YPO commented:

“Capsticks and the other firms appointed to our legal services framework will help us facilitate our main purpose which is to help the public sector achieve the best possible value.”

Mary Mundy, Partner at Capsticks said:

“YPO offers cost-effective solutions for its customers while also reinvesting its profits back into its local authority owners. This appointment is a significant win for the firm as it closely aligns with our value of doing the right thing and acting as a go-to advisor for clients that focus on giving back to the communities they serve.”

Capsticks’ aim is to be the firm of choice for organisations who work to make a difference. Our purpose is to be the legal advisers that clients want by their side, providing innovative and practical solutions tailored to our sectors’ unique challenges. Our lawyers work together as one team with the same values: putting people first, doing the right thing and always forward thinking.
