Sarah Darvell has joined Capsticks as a Partner in the Housing team. Sarah is a security charging expert and her arrival will support the firm’s growth in this area.

Sarah is well-respected in the affordable housing finance sector, having worked as a security charging specialist for over 18 years. She is joining Capsticks from Trowers & Hamlins where she project-managed and led large-scale due diligence for a range of financing arrangements including bonds, private placements, loans and refinancings, as well as the due diligence for other types of portfolio transactions.

Over her career, Sarah has acted on transactions large and small, straightforward and complex, and has placed into charge over 100,000 properties for housing association clients, with a total security value of over £4billion. Her clients have included not-for-profit and for-profit housing associations.

Social housing providers rely on Sarah's considerable expertise to place properties into charge at maximum value quickly, smoothly and cost-effectively.

Described by clients as knowledgeable, innovative and solutions-focussed, Sarah helps clients to uplift and maximise their stock values, their borrowing capacity and their ability to deliver and maintain much needed affordable homes, through rolling charge programmes, value uplift programmes and client training.
