Capsticks has enhanced its defendant personal injury offering with the arrival of Legal Director Deborah McClean from Eversheds Sutherland. For over 20 years, Deborah has defended road traffic accidents (RTA), employers' liability and public liability, health and safety law, occupational health and disease claims. Her clients include insurers, self-insured companies and local authorities whom she has supported in a variety of claims and strategic matters.

Deborah’s experience in healthcare and prison claims, including catastrophic cases resulting from brain injuries, amputations, spinal injuries and occupational diseases, will be invaluable to Capsticks’ clients in the health, social care and public sectors. In addition to defending claims, Deborah will be supporting organisations on their policies and risk assessments to minimise exposure and reduce the amount of complex litigation.

By the end of April, we will have a new, fully operational personal injury team offering both our existing clients and the wider insurance market an increased capability to resolve clinical and PI claims quickly, efficiently and fairly.
