Good Governance: Best Value readiness for the new Provider Selection Regime
Join us for the first in our series of webinars focussing on best value in relation to Good Governance on Thursday 18 January 2024.
Our first session will explain how the commissioning of healthcare (such as substance misuse services and sexual health services) will be impacted by the new Provider Selection Regime which is expected to come into force on 1 January 2024. This will also be considered in the context of best value obligations and the draft guidance issued in July 2023.
As part of the session we will consider:
- The processes to be followed under the new Provider Selection Regime
- What Local Authorities will need to have in place to run processes under the Provider Selection Regime and key points to be aware of
- The Best Value Duty under the Local Government Act 1999 and the draft Guidance recently issued
- Quick update on the current position with the Procurement Act 2023
Attendees will be treated to an engaging and lively discussion from our speakers and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
