Experience
Catherine is a Senior Associate in the Claims team and specialises in advising on a range of contentious matters for a variety of NHS Trusts, other Healthcare organisations and NHS Resolution. Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and joined Capsticks in 2018.
Expertise
Catherine manages a wide ranging caseload across many medical specialities including neurology, cardiology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and general surgery. She regularly represents her clients at contested hearings in both the High Court and County Court, mediations, conferences and settlement meetings.
Catherine also lectures on, and is a tutor for, the Capsticks Diploma in Clinical Risk and Claims Management.
Before joining Capsticks, Catherine spent a number of years at a leading claimant firm where she managed a mixed case load of claims arising from clinical negligence. Prior to this, Catherine acted predominantly for a FTSE 100 utility PLC advising on Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Personal Injury claims and is also experienced in catastrophic brain and spinal injury claims.
