Experience
Emma is a Partner within the Clinical Law team. She is a barrister with over 20 years of courtroom experience, and specialises in conducting the firm’s most complex and reputationally sensitive healthcare inquests. Most are Article 2 engaged, jury inquests or high-risk matters attracting significant press attention.
Expertise
Emma supports our clients from the early stages of coronial investigations. She frequently advises on systems and operational issues at both an organisational and individual level. She is regularly instructed to provide advice in a number of different areas including internal disciplinary and SUI investigations, police investigations, complex disclosure, conflicts of interest, associated claims, implementation of learning, reputational risk and publicity management. She provides sensitive and pragmatic support to clients and their witnesses throughout the entire inquest process to best achieve the client’s desired outcome.
