Experience
Emma is a Principal Associate in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team. She is experienced in advising and representing clients in both the public and private sectors in a wide range of disputes. In recent years, her work has focused on advising local government bodies and she has developed a specialism for dealing with supply chain and IT disputes.
Expertise
Emma advises and represents clients from the early contract management stage of a dispute right through to trial. She has substantial experience of ADR, in particular mediation.

Notable Projects
- Represented a District Council at mediation in a £3.8 million claim brought by a LEP for the clawback of grant funds following the abandonment of a major transport scheme.
- Represented a City Council in a dispute arising out of a business critical and multi-million pound IT contract.
- Represented a City Council in a circa £2 million claim relating to a district heating scheme.
- Advised a District Council in a dispute arising from a long-term and high-value waste contract concerning service failures.
- Represented a manufacturer of corporate clothing in a number of supply chain disputes concerning the provision of unfit for purpose PPE during the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Represented a care home client in an expert determination relating to a dispute arising from a collaboration agreement.
- Defended an NHS CCG in a circa £1.5 million claim for restitution/unjust enrichment.
- Represented a distributor of adhesives in a complex, multi-party, multi-jurisdictional supply chain dispute concerning defective joinery adhesive, including representing the client at the 18-day trial.
