Expertise
Emma handles high risk Article 2 inquests for police, prison, probation and healthcare organisations, managing their progress and providing effective outcomes for clients. She is adept at supporting witnesses and the wider business through the inquest, public inquiry and claims process. Her work includes liaising with the client to secure relevant documents, obtaining and drafting witness statements, reviewing the documentation and information in order to prepare the case for hearing and to provide tactical advice. She also works with clients following hearings to support them with any learning points identified. Emma also brings years of experience in breach of Human Rights Act claims and catastrophic personal injury matters.
Emma has worked closely with a client to provide support for a public inquiry, including preparation of complex witness statements and attending the hearing.
As a strong relationship builder, clients see Emma as their ‘go-to’ problem solver to approach for practical and commercial advice.
