Jane Goodier
Senior Associate
Experience
Jane began her legal career in criminal defence and specialised in prison law for a number of years before moving over to civil law. Jane’s initial experience in housing was acting for tenants and she was duty solicitor, at four different courts in the North West, under the Legal Aid scheme. This experience has given Jane a greater depth of understanding and knowledge as to potential defences social landlords might face and has allowed her to pre-empt issues on files in advance.
Expertise
Jane’s expertise is in all housing management issues, especially injunctions, committals and possession proceedings. Jane enjoys advocacy and it is something that has featured throughout her career from parole hearings, adjudications and more recently committal and possession hearings. Jane does not shy away from a challenge and is always on hand to offer clients good solid advice.
