Experience
Katherine qualified as a solicitor in 2018, specialising in professional regulation.
Prior to training as a solicitor, she worked within the fitness to practise departments at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and Architects Registration Board (ARB).
Katherine has acted for a number of professional regulators including the General Dental Council (GDC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), General Optical Council (GOC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA). Katherine also undertook a secondment at the HCPC in 2022.
Katherine joined the Regulatory Team at Capsticks in 2024.
Expertise
Katherine has extensive experience of carrying out fitness to practise investigations and preparing cases for hearings. This has included large multi-registrant cases, sensitive and high profile cases, and complex cases including sexual misconduct, fraud and dishonesty.
