Experience
Lily is a Senior Associate in the Employment and Pensions Team. She joined Capsticks as a paralegal in 2017, qualified as a solicitor in March 2021 and was promoted to Senior Associate in September 2024. Lily is experienced in representing a range of healthcare organisations in a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
Expertise
Lily is experienced in running Tribunal claims, including claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, victimisation, harassment, breach of contract and wages claims. Lily frequently assists on high-value and complex Tribunal claims with a particular focus on whistleblowing. Lily also has experience with running High Court proceedings. Lily manages sensitive doctor cases under the national framework, Maintaining High Professional Standards.
Notable Projects
- Gentry v West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Ors (2023): Part of a team who successfully defended allegations of unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, race discrimination, victimisation and harassment. This was a complex claim in which we acted for three Respondents and which involved six senior witnesses at a 12-day hearing.
- Mohammad v King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (2022): Part of a team who successfully defended allegations of whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, disability discrimination and failure to make reasonable adjustments. This was a complex claim in which we acted for four Respondents and which involved six senior witnesses and instructing leading and junior counsel at a 15-day hearing.
