Experience
Margarita is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team. Margarita provides commercial, procurement and contractual advice to public and private sector clients within, primarily, the healthcare sector. Margarita advises on a breadth of issues and matters, ranging from strategic advice and contract reviews to drafting bespoke contracts and managing large scale projects.
Expertise
Margarita has particular expertise in advising clients on the contracts for estates and facilities management services with a particular focus on assisting with specifications and payment mechanisms. Margarita also assists clients with termination of contracts and exit strategies and agreements.
Recently, Margarita has advised NHS collaborative consortiums on the contract terms to be used in procurement processes for pathology managed equipment services and associated laboratory information management systems. Margarita has also advised on the procurement of IT contracts including BI platforms. In addition, she advises on the collaboration agreements underpinning these arrangements. Margarita also advises on various types of collaborations including research and development, section 75 agreements and joint ventures.
Notable Projects
- Advising clients on defending procurement challenges including undertaking the analysis of the procurement documents and scoring exercises;
- Drafting template agreements for clients, including supply of goods and services agreements, consultancy agreements and frameworks;
- Advising charities on services agreements, including advising care home providers on agreements with commissioners; and
- Advising commissioners on new models of care and strategic policy advice.
