Experience
Matthew is a partner in the Real Estate department at Capsticks specialising in health and social care property.
Matthew has extensive experience in estates work in the secondary healthcare sector, working with hospital and mental health trusts throughout the country. He has also worked closely with many organisations involved in the primary and community care estate, in particular with Community Health Partnerships, where he was seconded for 18 months.
Matthew also undertakes a broad range of work in the wider health and social care sector including pharmacies.
Expertise
Matthew deals with a wide range of transactions across all types of health property including high value sales and acquisitions, leases and developments, the property aspects of mergers and acquisitions and all types of landlord and tenant issues.
Matthew also works on major capital projects including complex hospital and mental health facility developments, NHS LIFT projects and staff accommodation projects.

- CHP lease project, a national project involving the regularisation of over 800 tenants across CHP’s national estate.
- 12 Local Improvement Finance Trust projects.
- North East London NHS Foundation, a major programme of development, disposals and acquisitions across an extensive mental health estate.
- Frimley Park Hospital NHS FT, a key worker housing development to allow the reconfiguration of the provision of accommodation to the Trust’s staff and related land disposal
