Experience
As an Associate in the claims team, Olivia is instructed by NHS Resolution to advise on the defence of claims brought against NHS Trusts, as well as General Practitioners. She is often instructed in multi-defendant claims and deals with both pre-action and litigated matters managing a wide-ranging caseload across a number of specialities. She has a keen interest in medical law, and in particular her practice includes a number of neurological claims. Olivia is also instructed in respect of inquest claims and claims alleging breaches of the Human Rights Act/European Convention on Human Rights. As a solicitor-advocate, Olivia is able to represent her clients in the higher courts.
Olivia presents on the Clinical Risk and Claims Management Diploma, a course for clinical risk managers, claims managers, and practising clinicians. Outside of work, Olivia sits as a criminal magistrate for the Cambridgeshire and Birmingham benches.
