Experience
Sarah-Jayne (‘SJ’) is a Senior Associate in the claims department based in the Birmingham office. She is instructed by NHS Resolution to advise on the defence of clinical negligence claims brought against NHS Trusts.
As a Trainee Solicitor, SJ trained in commercial litigation, regulatory and clinical work and decided to return to clinical work for her final 3 months of training before qualifying as a solicitor specialising in clinical negligence and personal injury.
Expertise
Prior to joining Capsticks, SJ represented Claimants in a variety of clinical negligence and personal injury claims at a leading Midlands law firm.
SJ works on a variety of pre-action and litigated cases and has experience in dealing with delays in treatment such as sepsis and high value complex neurological claims for misdiagnoses and misinterpreted scans in conditions such as cervical myelopathy and cases involving strokes.

SJ was shortlisted at The Worcestershire’s Law Society Awards 2020 – ‘Junior Solicitor of the Year’ and was awarded ‘Trainee Solicitor of the Year’ at The Worcestershire’s Law Society Awards 2017.
