Experience
James is a Senior Associate in our real estate team specialising in property-related disputes in the healthcare and housing sectors. He also acts for education, charity and regulatory clients on a full range of contentious matters.
Expertise
James has particular experience with:
- Security of tenure for business tenants under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 , including opposed and unopposed lease renewals
- Break and termination notices, dilapidations and end of tenancy advice
- Rent reviews, rent arrears and service charge disputes
- Forfeiture, possession and trespass cases
- Party Wall Act procedures and disputes, boundary disputes and adverse possession
- Fire Safety Order and CQC investigations
- Protection from Harassment Act cases, including injunctions
- Partnership agreements and disputes, rent reimbursement and property structuring for GP practices, PCNs and individual partners.
